Current Openings

Senior ASIC Designer in Campbell, CA.

Duties: Develop and execute: micro-architecture specification, RTL in Verilog/System Verilog, performance, speed, power goals, and verification. Develop scripts and chips in the lab. Define, review, verify, and test chip architecture. Write micro architecture specification for the module using a high-level set of requirements for the specified module. Program modules using the micro-architecture specification. Commit the code to the code repository, using source control. Use bug tracking software to track open software bugs. Fix identified bugs. Review module specifications with stakeholders. Work with the Verification team to verify the module works as expected. Work with other RTL team members to integrate the modules into the chip design. Work with external partners for any 3rd party IP blocks incorporated into the design. 100% Telecommuting is permitted throughout the US.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or its equivalent) plus 5 years of experience in related occupations. Requires 5 years of experience in each of the following: (1) Programming in Python or C++; (2) Design to successful tapeouts and shipping; (3) RTL design and familiarity with writing elegant synthesizable RTL; (4) Integrating 3rd party IP (Synopsys, or Cadence, or Andes); (5) Using ASIC design tools from Synopsys or Cadence; (6) Use bug tracking software to track open software bugs (Jira).

In lieu of a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or its equivalent) plus 5 years of experience in related occupations, employer will also accept a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or its equivalent) plus 2 years of experience in related occupations. Requires 2 years of exp in each of the following: (1) Programming in Python or C++; (2) Design to successful tapeouts and shipping; (3) RTL design and familiarity with writing elegant synthesizable RTL; (4) Integrating 3rd party IP (Synopsys, or Cadence, or Andes); (5) Using ASIC design tools from Synopsys or Cadence; (6) Use bug tracking software to track open software bugs (Jira). Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
