What is your Silicon iQ™?

Silicon iQ™ is Cornami’s framework for evaluating and optimizing the architectural efficiency of semiconductor designs, particularly for AI, machine learning, and high-performance computing applications. Unlike traditional benchmarks that focus on isolated performance metrics, Silicon iQ™ provides a multi-dimensional evaluation approach that considers interrelated architectural factors to determine overall efficiency and scalability.

Through Silicon iQ™, we enable semiconductor designers, AI system architects, and enterprises to assess and enhance chip performance based on:

Simultaneous Decision per Clock Cycle:

      • Measures the ability of an architecture to handle multiple computations or decisions in a single clock cycle, optimizing efficiency for AI inference and high-performance workloads.

 

Tera Operations per Second (TOPs) per Watt:

      • Evaluates the energy efficiency of a processor by assessing its computational throughput relative to power consumption, a critical factor for AI acceleration and edge computing applications.

 

Giga-Operations per Second (GOPs) per Million Transitions:

      • Assesses computational efficiency at a microarchitectural level, factoring in data movement and transistor activity to optimize silicon power-performance trade-offs.

 

Architectural Scalability:

      • Measures how effectively the architecture can scale across different workloads, hardware configurations, and deployment environments, ensuring optimal performance across AI, cloud, and edge computing platforms.
