Cornami Targets FHE-Encrypted AI In Real TimeCornami Strategic Investment Means Full Steam Ahead for FHE Accelerator – Sally Ward-Foxton

PARIS, France – At Raise, semiconductor industry veteran Wally Rhines presented startup Cornami’s accelerator hardware and software for AI inference, fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) acceleration, and workloads that combine the two.

Cornami is pitching its many-core parallel computing technology primarily for fully homomorphic encryption (FHE). While demand from potential customers has the company also demoing unencrypted Llama3 inference, the company’s real target is FHE-encrypted AI inference workloads.

“Our differentiation is FHE, but at this point in time, we offer a big power and performance advantage for AI inference, even without FHE,” former Cornami CEO Rhines told EE Times.

Rhines has recently taken over as CEO of EDA company Silvaco, but he remains on Cornami’s board. Previous Cornami CEO Gordon Campbell will return to the CEO position.
